SATA2

Overview

SATA2 interfaces operate at a serial data rate of 3 Gbps and are commonly used as the primary storage interface connecting computers to internal storage resources. SATA also serves as the basis of the eSATA (external SATA) standard for applications such as connecting computers to external storage.
