Diodes Incorporated

InfiniBand™

InfiniBand is a switched fabric, serial communications interface used in high-performance computing and enterprise data center applications. The specification defines an interconnect between processor nodes and high-performance I/O such as storage devices. With its high throughput rates – including SDR at 2.5 Gbps, DDR at 5 Gbps, and QDR at 10 Gbps – and low latency requirements, OEMs need to be able maintain signal integrity across the entire signal chain, starting at the clock source.

Diodes Incorporated is the industry leader in signal conditioning and timing technology to help OEMs maintain signal integrity at high frequencies. For InfiniBand applications, Diodes Incorporated offers 10 Gbps QDR InfiniBand redrivers to compensate for known channel losses at the transmitter and restore signal integrity at the receiver.

In addition, Diodes Incorporated offers crystal oscillators (XOs) for the base InfiniBand frequencies that provide excellent physical performance combined with low jitter and low power optimized to your specific application. Single-chip buffering solutions are also available with up to 10 flexible outputs and the industry’s lowest additive jitter of 0.03 ps to minimize signal degradation and provide more jitter margin for designs.

All components are designed for both low power operation and efficient power consumption. Flexible packaging is available to meet the specific cost, performance, and power needs of your application.

Diodes Incorporated is a true alternate source of timing and frequency control products (FCP) with its own oscillator manufacturing capabilities. Its vertically integrated supply chain offers OEMs the benefits of in-house design, mass production and supply capacity, consistent quality control, excellent lead time, and superior cost.
