What is RSS?

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) distributes content in a standard (XML) format directly to you, so you can get the latest Pericom news. Pericom Semiconductor's RSS feed is free.

How Do I Use RSS?

If you click an RSS link but do not have a compatible reader installed, you will see XML code in your browser. To view the headlines, paste the feed address into an RSS news reader (see the list of compatible readers in the right-hand column of this page).

To use RSS, you will need RSS reader software that will allow you to collect and view RSS content. There are many different RSS readers available, many for free. Most RSS readers are applications that you download and install. Others are Web-based services that you sign up for and work inside your browser.

Step 1 - Select a Reader

There are two main types of RSS readers:

  • Standalone Reader that you can populate as desired
  • Plug-in Reader works with application you already use (such as your browser or email application)
