Best HDMI Switch in a Supporting Role

HDMI is not an onboard signal but instead is a multi-box to multi-box type of signal. Long cables are needed, which degrade signal integrity even further. When setting up systems that require multiple sources or multiple end points, crosstalk can also be an issue. 

To make HDMI picture perfect, Pericom offers unique products that not only eliminate the crosstalk issue, but also offer enhanced equalization which can extend signals across longer cables.

For DVI/HDMI signals at 1.65Gbps, a 24AWG 25-meter cable reduces a signal by about 15-16dB. This 15-16dB signal loss is enough to kill your DVI/HDMI signal completely. By integrating equalization (16dB) and de-emphasis (9.5dB), Pericom maximizes receiving and transmitting clarity and reduces Inter-symbol Interference (ISI). This is done using a unique equalization, which performs much like adaptive equalization but at much lower cost.
