San Jose, CA, 2005-06-30 - Pericom Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: PSEM), a worldwide preferred supplier of
high-speed integrated circuits and frequency control devices, has expanded its SiliconClock IC portfolio with three new PLL clock multipliers targeting
consumer electronics such as Set-top Box/DVR/PVR and HDTV, as well as Telecommunication Line Cards including T1/E1/OCxx.
Pericom's PI6C4500, PI6C4511, and PI6C4512 are high performance frequency multipliers that integrate Analog Phase-Locked Loop
(PLL) techniques. The devices use a standard fundamental mode, inexpensive crystal to produce output clocks from 160MHz up to 200MHz. The complex
logic dividers generate four (4500) or nine (4511, 4512) different popular multiplication factors, allowing the devices to produce outputs of many common
frequencies. Pericom's PI6C45xx are intended for applications that need clock generation and frequency translation with
low output jitter (variation in
the output period).
