San Jose, CA, 2010-02-01 - Pericom Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: PSEM), a worldwide preferred supplier of products for timing, signal conditioning and serial connectivity, today announced that its very low power and high performance PI7C9X111SL PCIe-to-PCI bridge has been selected by Samsung, a world leader in MFPs and consumer electronics, to enable high-speed legacy bridging connectivity for a number of Samsung’s next generation CLX families of high performance mid to high end MFPs.
“Pericom was selected based on outstanding cost-effective performance, support, and efficient implementation, and is used with our advanced system-on-chip (SoC) architecture,” said Ken Park, Samsung purchasing manager, printer division. “Our new CLX printers require the highest performance components, and Pericom meets and exceeds our stringent requirements.”
The PI7C9X111SL is a high performance PCIe to PCI Bridge from Pericom’s SlimLine™ PCIe Packet Switch and Bridge family featuring very low power and popular TQFP small footprint packages, enabling volume applications such as notebook/PC, embedded, video surveillance, wireless, networking, PC peripheral (such as MFP), and digital TV.
