its highly integrated PI3L720 LAN Switch has been selected by GIGABYTE,
a world leader in motherboards and add-in cards,
to enable high-speed connectivity for GIGABYTE’s motherboards.
These cutting edge motherboards equipped with Pericom’s PI3L720
LAN Switch are on exhibit this week at Computex, Taipei, June 2 thru
June 6, 2009, at the GIGABYTE booth D002 in Hall 1.
GIGABYTE’s next generation high-end gaming PC motherboards achieve higher
system stability and better performance with the implementation of LAN redundancy
provided by two (2) PI3L720 LAN Switches on each board. “With Pericom’s
high-performance LAN Switch technology, these new motherboard solutions allow
customers to have the best-in-class throughput performance with our Smart

Features and Benefits
The PI3L720 offers 1-to-2 port or 2-to-1 port switch capability. Designed
for very low-power and small size, this latest switch is compatible
with various standards, such as 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet. It also
features 11 KV of contact Electro Static Discharge (ESD) protection,
eliminating external ESD components for cost reduction.
