San Jose, CA, 2006-09-26 - Pericom Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:
PSEM), a worldwide preferred supplier of PCI Express technology used for switching, timing, connecting, and signal integrity, will introduce and
demonstrate its new products on September 26-28 at the Fall Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco with devices targeted for a broad market including
blade and motherboard based servers, HBA and NIC cards, data storage, switch and router control planes, industrial and mainstream PC and laptops,
multi-function printers and print servers, test equipment, data acquisition, and telecom.
The Company will introduce its new Packet24™
family of PCI Express Packet Switches, as well as a dynamic mobile demonstration that illustrates external PCIe connectivity using the new Express Card
slot being adopted by laptop and other mobile form factors. This demo merges Pericom’s PCIe-to-PCI Bridge, PCIe Packet Switch and PCIe
Re-Driver.

The PCIe Packet24 packet switch family consists of four different port and lane-count configurations: a 4-Port/24
Lane (PI7C9X20424); a 3-Port/24 Lane (PI7C9X20324); a 4-Port/16 Lane (PI7C9X20416); and a 3-Port/12 Lane (PI7C9X20312). The product family is
specifically designed for low latency, low power consumption, optimized PCB layout, and fully meets the requirements of the latest PCI-SIG PCIe 1.1 and
PCI 1.2 specifications. Unique features include attributes-data reporting, multiple switch fabric quality of service and configuration, special low-power and
power-down modes, and programmable lane assignments for x4 or x8 lane width capability on a per-port basis.
